The federal government is awarding just over $800,000 to the City of Lethbridge for its pathway to Coaldale.
The grant, under Ottawa’s Adaptation in Action program, is for the building of the ‘climate resilient’ connection.
The project is a partnership between the City, County, Town of Coaldale, and St. Mary River Irrigation District.
The 15K-long trail was named in honour of former well-known farmer Cor Van Raay, after his $1 million contribution.
