Close to 18,000 elementary and high school students returned to class Tuesday morning in Greater Lethbridge for the new school year, and many will be walking.
With that in mind, Lethbridge Police and the AMA are reminding you and I to pay extra special attention with the increased pedestrian traffic.
Being the first day, we can also expect an added police presence in school/playground zones, according to LPS.
Pedestrians, too, are being urged to take precautions and not assume the person behind the wheel automatically sees you.
