Healthcare rallies planned for Tuesday opposing Bill 11 in seven cities across Alberta

Rallies are planned for Tuesday in seven Alberta cities, and more across the country, lobbying against a piece of Alberta healthcare legislation.

The protests, being led in our province by Friends of Medicare is over Bill 11, which the group believes will lead to a two-tiered, American-style system.

With the legislation set to take effect September 1st, health coalitions are coming together in mass to send an urgent, unified message to the Feds.

FOM and other organizations are demanding Prime Minister Mark Carney and his government protect a system based on need and not ability to pay.
