Hurricanes beaten in pre-season opener by the rival Tigers

Liam Ruck scored with three goals, including an empty netter in the dying seconds, as the Medicine Hat Tigers upended the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3 in pre-season play Tuesday night at VisitLethbridge.com Arena. 

Dawson Spence, Cohen Pentney, and Oliver Sichtar scored for the Canes in first game action for both teams. 

The Tigers host Lethbridge Saturday night at Co-op Place for a 7 p.m. face-off. 

Prince Albert squeezed by Saskatoon 6-5 while Regina edged out Swift Current 3-2,  in other Eastern Conference exhibition play.
