Canadian Pacific Kansas City breaks sixth monthly record for Canadian grain shipments

It’s turning out to be a record-setting year for Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) with another new monthly benchmark set in August. 

In a release today, CPKC said it transported 2.54 million metric tonnes and loaded just over 26,000 carloads of Canadian grain and grain products. 

The new August monthly record covers the first four weeks of the 2026-2027 crop year which began this past August 1st. 

In the 12 months from August of last year to July of this year, company figures showed it moved 30.66 metric tonnes in grain and grain products.
