Alberta students maintain world-class standing
The Government of Alberta and the Alberta Teachers’ Association are both celebrating after it was revealed this week that students in this province continue to be among Canada’s highest achievers.
That is according to the 2025 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which shows 15-year-old students are among the best not just in Canada, but internationally.
Alberta ranked first among provinces in science and reading, and second in mathematics behind only Quebec.
It also scored above the national and international averages in all three subjects.
