CFLSA fall intake deadline for funding applications, just over a month away

There’s a little over a month left for organizations and groups to apply for fall intake funding from the Community Foundation of Lethbridge & Southwest Alberta. 

Applications are being accepted for the Communities Priorities Fund, Henry S. Varley Fund for Rural Life, and Youth in Action grant program.

“Communities Priorities largely funds capital campaigns…so, computers, desks, renovations, perhaps, new roofs…things like that,” explains executive director Charleen Davidson.

“Rural Life does a lot more, but limited to rural communities and that does more initiatives that supports a high quality of life in rural southwestern Alberta.”

The Community Priorities Fund has $257,000 available this Fall for charities and other qualified donees, while the Rural Life fund has $218,950.

The Youth in Action grant program, established as an incentive to empower youth, has $15,000 in available money.

Deadline to apply is 4 p.m., October 15th.
