Raging Grannies rally in Lethbridge over referendum questions regarding immigration

The Raging Grannies of Lethbridge held a noon-hour rally on Friday outside the Civic Centre at the corner of 6 Avenue South and Stafford. 

Group spokesperson Barb Phillips says they wanted to bring attention to the immigration-related questions in the province’s upcoming referendum on Oct. 19, 2026.

Phillips says they feel those questions are scapegoating immigrants to “cover over poor policy of the current UCP government”.

The first-generation Canadian says immigrants are responsible for not only building Alberta, but Canada.
