Copperheads get ready for 2026-27 regular season against rival Generals

The Coaldale Copperheads open their 2026-27 Heritage Junior Hockey League regular season at home this weekend. 

Head coach Doug Paisley expects a tough match against the rival Cochrane Generals.

“They draw well. They’re well organized, a good-run club, so, we would expect them to be a very, very good opponent, for sure,” said Paisley, following Sunday’s final pre-season game.

“We’ve got some work to do on special teams , a little more structural things in practice to prepare for the weekend, but looking forward to the home opener on Saturday night.”
