A much better effort by the Lethbridge Hurricanes Friday night, but they simply weren’t able to stop Red Deer Rebels’ captain Beckett Hamilton.
The 18-year-old from Saskatoon scored three times in a Rebels 4-3 result over the Canes at VisitLethbridge.com Arena.
Hamilton’s first goal came just over three minutes into the first period in a game that saw the Hurricanes battle back after being down 1-0 and 2-1.
Owen Berge, Kai Anderson, and Dayne Beuker had the markers for the home club, while Leif Oaten turned aside 39 of 43 shots and was named the third star in the contest.
