Lethbridge & District Agriculture Society exploring its future direction, focus

It’s hoped a two-day conference planned for late November will help the Lethbridge & District Cultural Society to re-shape its direction and future.

“Really, the Ag Society, right now, is trying to engage the community as much as we can and improve public ag literacy. Get the non-agricultural public, potentially, urban folks seeing agriculture, understanding what happens in our area…what’s going on all around the city and Lethbridge and district,” Cody McIntosh explains, the society’s executive director.

To get that public engagement, the society is co-sponsoring the first-ever Southern Alberta Agricultural Producers Conference to take place November 24th and 25th.

The event will bring together producers, industry leaders and regional partners, the society hopes will provide them with valuable input on a new direction.
