Fire Ban in effect for River Valley

Effective immediately, a fire ban is in effect for Lethbridge River Valley.

The City of Lethbridge has put the ban into place until further notice in response to current conditions, including warmer temperatures and low humidity.

At this time, officials note that even a small spark can quickly spread in dry grass and brush.

Residents and visitors are being told not to light any open fires and to ensure all smoking materials are fully extinguished and disposed of safely.
