UCP restoring AISH benefits for eligible couples, and simplfying applications
The Alberta Government says it is restoring benefits related to Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP).
They say benefits will be restored for eligible couples, plus they’re simplifying applications and advocating for more accessible Employment Insurance, according to a release.
“Albertans with disabilities have told us where they need more support,” says Nathan Neudorf, Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services.
“These changes respond to those concerns by making it easier to access assistance and giving people greater stability as they plan for their future.”
