Work to relocate electrical cables on Whoop-Up Drive Bridge continues
Plenty of work has been ongoing since the Spring on the Whoop-Up Drive Bridge as part of upgrades to the bridge deck, the interchange, and the electrical, which isn’t talked about a lot.
Planned utility work, in fact, over the next couple of weeks could impact traffic, both on the bridge itself, and underneath, as well, as they move electrical cables from under the bridge to under the river.
The City says the work is being completed using underground drilling methods that allow crews to install infrastructure beneath the Oldman River without disturbing it.
It will also mean some lane closures to the outside lane of the bridge eastbound, at times, and to a section of Coal Banks Trail and Bull Trail Park South.
