Warrant issued for the arrest of 28-year-old man charged in connection with a stabbing

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have issued an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Jarret Bruce Healy, who is charged in connection with a recent stabbing.

According to police, on Mar. 5 at 8:30 p.m. they responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the Westside Trailer Court.

Upon arrival, officers located a 29-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds and had to administer first aid prior to the arrival of EMS. The man was subsequently transported to hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.

An investigation determined the victim had been socializing at a home with a group of people when a verbal dispute escalated to a physical altercation. 

Following the stabbing, several members of the group fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Police say that the parties involved are known to one another.

Healy is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of breach of a recognizance.
