2026 Giving Machine charity launches in Lethbridge Nov. 13

Oct 14, 2026 | 11:34 AM

The third annual Lethbridge Giving Machine will open at Park Place Mall next month.

Part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Light the World initiative, the machines help donate needed resources like food, school supplies, and medical care to people in need.

The machines work like vending machines, but in this case the items purchased are donated to local and global charities.

In Lethbridge this year, the five local charities will consist of:

  • Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Lethbridge and District
  • Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree
  • Lethbridge Food Bank
  • YouthOne
  • Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre

Three machines will be located at the mall’s Winners Entrance, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the chosen charities.

In 2025 over 4.8 million items were purchased in 126 cities worldwide, with Lethbridge alone raising over $140,000.

A grand opening for the Lethbridge machines will be held at the mall Nov. 13 at 2:00 p.m.
