Town of Coalhurst byelection nominations to be accepted until Nov. 9

The nomination period for candidates to fill a vacant spot on Coalhurst Town Council remains open for a few more weeks.

While many might think they don’t have the knowledge or experience to be a councillor, mayor Deb Florence tends to disagree.

“You don’t need to know everything about municipal governance. You can learn it. You can learn budgets. You can learn how municipal government works. What we do,” the mayor stipulated.

“What you can’t learn is caring deeply, being curious, and really being willing to put yourself out there.”
