Parking fines to remain the same in 2027 for City of Lethbridge

Lethbridge City Council has agreed to make changes to its parking policy, including a slight increase to the fee structure in 2028. 

Following a review, that included input from the Downtown Revitilization Business Zone, parking fines will remain at $40 in 2027, but increase to $50 in 2028, with a $20 discount if paid within 10 days. 

However, as part of the motion, Council will re-visit the numbers, again, when it delves into its 2028-2031 Operating Budget. 

Remaining changes include parking kiosk screens to only display the immediate zone they’re in, and a transition to mail delivery of violation notices.
