Alberta Beef Producer’s Young Creators Contest returns

Alberta Beef Producers is bringing back its Young Creators Contest, again, this year. 

“One of the biggest reasons is that it gives young people an opportunity to learn more about where there food comes from and the people involved in producing it,” said Engagement & Digital Content Specialist, Kara Mastel explains, saying you don’t necessarily need to have direct ties to agriculture to enter.

“You don’t need to come from a farming or ranching background to enter. In fact, some of the most interesting submissions we’ve received over the years have come from participants who completely new to agriculture,” Mastel said.

“The contest also helps showcase that beef industry is about more than just cattle production. You know, it’s about the people, the communities, the stewardship practices, that all play a role in producing beef here in Alberta.”
