Even without time change, LFES still recommends to check smoke, C02 detectors
While you’d normally check your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors while you change your clock, that won’t be happening on Sunday here in Alberta.
Regardless, though, Lethbridge Fire & Emergency Services is hoping you continue the practice saying that a working smoke and carbon monoxide saves lives.
Included in the reminders are to: are to test every alarm and use the test button on each unit at least once a month.
LFES also strongly recommends you change replaceable batteries at least once a year, sooner if you get a low battery warning sound.
