Highway 3 closed between Lundbreck and Cowley following ‘serious motor vehicle collision’

A section of Highway 3 remains closed at this hour following, what RCMP described earlier, as a serious motor vehicle collision.

Mounties from both the Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass detachments are on scene, but it’s not known the extent of the crash.

The incident occurred on the highway east of Lundbreck, and traffic is now be-routed onto Highway 507 between Burmis and Pincher Creek.

As of 2:30 p.m., 511 Alberta was reporting the highway was still closed.
