Football Alberta Weekly Top-10 Rankings

Nov 2, 2026 | 10:09 AM

Here are the Weekly Top-10 Rankings for all five levels of high school football in Alberta for the 2026 season.

These rankings will be released every Sunday (except for the Labour Day kickoff) through November 9.

At that time, those will be the last rankings, and teams will take this rank into provincials.

The 12-a-side teams are slotted into their levels based on their estimated school size by School Sport Alberta, while the 9- and 6-a-side teams are one level only. Some re-sorting of 12-a-side levels will take place after the final official population numbers are recorded at the end of September.

Note: games vs. US opponents, scrimmages, or tournaments are not taken into consideration for ranking or listed in the overall record of the schools.

UPCOMING GAME(S) OF THE WEEK:

CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND!

It’s been a long season. Certainly longer than last year, when teams experienced a three-week disruption in their schedule due to the teachers’ strike. No work stoppage this year means that some teams have upwards of ten games already played, and we are now heading for the first full weekend of November, which is the time most leagues in the province host their Championship Games or Provincial Qualifiers. These are too numerous to list here, so please check your local listings for the championship game near you.
