Lethbridge-born and Preds’ forward Matthew Wood now a Seattle Kraken

A 21-year-old Lethbridge-born hockey player is leaving the bright lights of Music City for the Pacific Northwest, following a trade made public Monday.

Nashville Predators forward Matthew Wood is off to the Seattle Kraken, while the Preds receive 22-year-old right-winger Shane Wright in return.

Wood, drafted 15th overall by Nashville in 2023, has one goal and two assists in 14 games this season and could be the line-up as early as Wednesday when the Kraken host the Flames.
