Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week
ATCO Gas reminds you frequently check your CO detection monitor and know how it works

This week has been designated as Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week by ATCO Gas.
The Alberta-based energy operator points out it’s one of the biggest dangers inside the home, and worse because it’s colourless and odorless.
ATCO’s Leo Pisarevski strongly recommends you get familiar with your CO monitor, especially how it works and is powered.
“The calls we respond to a lot of times is because the carbon monoxide alarms are expired and are no good. So, people should know whether their carbon monoxide alarm expires in six years or ten years. They, generally, range from six to ten years.”
