New partnership looks to develop young curlers in Lethbridge
LETHBRIDGE – The Lethbridge Curling Club has announced the McDonalds Junior Curling Program is partnering with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns Curling Program.
The junior and little rockers curling program will now be instructed by players on the Pronghorns competitive curling teams. Those involved believe this partnership ensures that the juniors will receive a high standard of instruction for all levels, and will ensure more cohesion year over year.
Pronghorns Head Coach Jeff Davidson says his players are excited about the change.
“Building a program that fosters skills development in a fun atmosphere is exciting, all the while providing opportunities for these young curlers to advance to competitive levels if they wish,” Davidson said.
