Jun 15, 2018 | 3:42 PM

LETHBRIDGE – Damage to a north Lethbridge home is estimated to be $120,000 after an accidental electrical fire occured late Thursday night (June 14).

Firefighters were called to the home in the 100 block of 18 St. N. around 11:15 p.m. after neighbours discovered it and called 9-1-1.

When they got to the scene, smoke was seen flowing out of vents and open doors, and there were visible flames in the kitchen.

Firefighters from three stations responded and doused the flames. There were no injuries .

Lethbridge Fire reminds people that when a portable device like a coffee maker isn’t unplugged, it continues to draw a current. A faulty device can subsequently cause a fire.
