Victim told to “shhhh” as assailant grabbed woman’s breast during business transaction
LETHBRIDGE – A 47-year old man from Picture Butte who pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault, after grabbing and holding on to a woman’s breast when she was selling him a vehicle, will have to wait until April 11, 2019 to find out if he will go to jail. He pleaded guilty on Jan. 21.
On Monday, April 1, in Lethbridge Provincial court, Judge G.S. Maxwell heard that in May 2018, a woman and her husband listed a car for sale. She was contacted by Guillermo Froese to possibly purchase the vehicle.
Around 6 p.m. on May 9, 2018, Froese headed to the woman’s home. The woman’s husband was away, but another woman was there, along with the victim’s four children.
According to an agreed statement of facts, Froese then asked to go into the home to discuss the deal. There, he signed two bills of sale.
