Lethbridge New Home Starts Down for Fourth Month in a Row
LETHBRIDGE – New home starts continue on a downward trend across the province – including in Lethbridge.
After holding steady for the first few months of the year, new home starts in the city have now dropped for the fourth month in a row.
For the month of August, there were a combined 62 single and multi homes starts, compared to 90 during the same month last year. The decline was spread evenly across both multi and single family cosntruction.
Year-to-date numbers also show a decline. During the first eight months of the year, there were 417 new home starts, while the number reached 605 during the same time last year.
