LETHBRIDGE – The Lethbridge Speed Skating Association is looking for people with a need for speed, a competitive spirit or someone who would you like to learn how to speed skate for fun.

The LSSA is hosting a Try Speed Skating event at the Labor Club Ice Centre (2020 – 18 Ave N) from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

This is a free trial event, with all ages welcome, for those interested in joining the club.

Anyone thinking about attending must have an ice-certified helmet, long pants, long sleeves and gloves on in order to participate.

They have an inventory of speed skates to try, but the LSSA recommends you bring a pair of your own skates in case they don't have any available in your size.
