UP-DATE – Charges laid in Saturday night Hwy-3 collision

LETHBRIDGE –  UPDATE MONDAY: Lethbridge Police say a collision between a semi-truck and a truck late Saturday night (Mar. 9), involved an impaired driver, travelling in the wrong lane. According to police, a truck going westbound in the eastbound lanes on Highway 3, collided head-on with a semi-truck. A 28-year-old man from Sylvan lake was arrested, and has been charged with impaired driving, driving over .08 and dangerous driving. His name has not been released and there were no injuries. 

SATURDAY: A collision between a semi-truck and another vehicle around 11:30 Saturday (Mar 9) night, occurred in the eastbound lanes of Highway 3 near the Oldman River Bridge.  As a result of the collision Highway 3 was closed at the Highway 25 overpass to eastbound traffic.

There was no report of serious injuries at the time. The highway was re-opened to traffic about an hour later.
