November 28, 1951 – May 25, 2026
It is with sadness that the family of TRACY ARTHUR ANONSON announce his passing on May 25, 2026, in Lethbridge, Alberta, after a courageous 15-month battle with cancer.
Tracy will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michelle and Scott; stepsons Kendall (Norma) and Shawn; and his cherished grandchildren Ezra, Cassie, Katie, Kelsey, and Kaemon. He is also survived by his siblings Terry, David, Peggy, and Rick, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
He was predeceased by Audrey Sawa.
Tracy was born on November 28, 1951 in Stettler, Alberta, and grew up in Donalda, Alberta. He spent much of his working life at Butte Feeds, where he worked from 1972 until his retirement. In retirement, he enjoyed keeping busy working at Ultimate Freedom Plus. Since 2006, Tracy also opened his home and heart as a foster parent, helping and supporting many over the years.
From 2014 to 2016, Tracy and Audrey lived in Nanaimo, British Columbia, before returning to Lethbridge to enjoy retirement close to family and friends.
Tracy had a lifelong love of camping, fishing, travel, riding motor bikes and anything he could build or fix. He enjoyed learning new things and could often be found watching science videos and exploring how things worked.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
