Mr. Glen Beattie, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Fay Beattie, of Lethbridge, formerly of Nobleford, AB passed away at St. Michael’s Health Centre on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the age of 80.
Dad was born in Lethbridge, AB to William and Pearl (Brown) Beattie and raised on the family farm northeast of Nobleford.
Dad became a machinist and worked at Noble Cultivators until it closed as Versatile.
Dad met our mom Fay Brown and were married in 1963. They lived in Nobleford and raised their children there, mom passed away in 2001.
Dad enjoyed camping, fishing, curling, his garden, his yard and spending time with his family.
Dad moved into St. Michael’s in 2006 and resided there until his passing.
Dad is survived by his children; Sherry (Bob) Pinchak, Tracy (Rod) Whillans and Darcy (Holly Owens), six grandchildren; Chris (Deb) Pinchak and their son Nathan; Russ (Marta) Pinchak and their daughters Natalia and Alaina; Tyler and Matthew Whillans; Laura, Kim and Robyn Beattie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad was predeceased by his sisters Doreen, Betty, Shirley, Dolores; brothers Leslie and Grant.
We would like to thank the nursing and care staff of St. Michael’s for the excellent care and compassion shown to Dad.
Cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at a later date.
