Spring is on the way! It has been an incredible start to the 2020 Real Estate season! The number of transactions was up 20% across Lethbridge and the surrounding area when compared to February of last year. This speaks to the confidence in our marketplace and sets things up for a very solid 2020.

February saw the West Side of Lethbridge, once again, having the most sales followed closely by the South Side, and then the North Side. As far as surrounding markets, Taber saw the most sales, followed close by Coaldale and then Fort Macleod. It was interested to see that the month of February saw the West Side having the highest average sell price, followed by the North Side and then the South.

“Once again, the month showed steady gains in our Local Real Estate Market. A few weeks back it was announced that there would be some tweaks made to the Stress Test. As spring rolls around, this will provide an increased number of home buyers looking to get into the market for the first time which will help loosen up all inventory categories. We are in a period of time where there are huge benefits to be a home buyer, as there is still plenty of inventory and lending rates remain at historical lows. If you are looking to get in the market or move up in the market, the opportunity is amazing.”
