GIOVANNI FILIPAZ, beloved husband of the late Lidia Filipaz, passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Society – Park Meadows Village, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the age of 92 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Edi, Valdi and Mauro, all of Lethbridge; sister-in-law, Franca Crasti and niece, Anna Crasti of Kamloops, BC; nephew, Tony Crasti of Abbotsford, BC as well as many relatives and lifelong friends.
Along with his wife, dad was predeceased by his parents, Giovanni and Antonia Filipaz as well as all of his siblings, Gina, Maria, Antonia and Santa.
Dad was born on February 26, 1925 in Vergnacco di Grisignana Isteriá (Jugoslavia). At the age of 27 years, he married our mother, Lidia Crasti. On March 27, 1957, they arrived in Lethbridge to start their new life.
Dad was a wonderful, loving husband, the best father and great friend to many. He will always be remembered.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.

Giovanni will be laid to rest with Lidia at Mountain View Cemetery following the Funeral Mass.
