It is with great sadness we announce the passing of RICHARD “RICK” FRENCH, beloved husband of Connie French of Lethbridge, surrounded by his family at St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the age of 62 years.

Rick is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Connie French; his mother, Margaret French; his siblings, Chris (Arlene) McDonald of Lethbridge, Bill (Anita) McDonald of Red Deer, Michael (Wendy) McDonald of Lethbridge, Pat (Andy) MacNamara of Lethbridge, John (Melissa) McDonald of Lethbridge, Jackie French (Tim) of Lethbridge; his sister-in-law Sharon (Jerry) Cash of Lebanon Oregon, brother-in-law Randy (Brenda) Wurzer of Lethbridge, sister-in-law Karol (Perry) Miller of Coaldale, brother-in-law Greg (Kathy) Wurzer of Warden, Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his special little friend, Jade Card.

Rick is predeceased by his father, Ken French; his parents-in-law, Gerald & Betty Wurzer; and his brother-in-law, Ed Wurzer of Warden, Washington.

One of Rick’s greatest loves was his 1957 Chevy which he put countless hours into restoring. He also enjoyed many years of motorcycle riding and vacationing in Hawaii with Connie. His career as a truck driver started as a cattle hauler for Ken French Livestock where he worked for over a decade. Rick’s journey completed as a proud truck driver for Logic Lumber Ltd.

A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held at NORD-BRIDGE SENIORS CENTRE, 1904 – 13 Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre (c/o Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, 960 – 19 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 1W5) or to St. Michael’s Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit (1400 – 9 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5).
