NORAH HOFFORTH, beloved wife of the late Felix Hofforth, passed away peacefully at the Edith Cavell Care Center on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the age of 97 years.

She was born and grew up in Warnham, West Sussex, England. She joined the Women’s Land Army in 1941, during the second world war, this is when she met Felix and together they were married in England thereafter. Felix returned to Foremost and Norah followed seven months later, an English war bride. They farmed together at the family homestead until 1968, eventually retiring in Lethbridge.
Norah was active in the Anglican Church, Royal Purple and the Senior’s Club. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and playing bridge and crib. Norah loved spending time with family and friends.
Thank you to the doctors and staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Dr. D. Meller and the staff at the Edith Cavell Care Center and particularly the staff at the View for the care given to Norah. A special thank you to Bernadette and Harold Norlin for their unending care and attention to Norah over the last eleven years.
A Private Family Ceremony will take place at a later date at the family farm, at which time Norah’s cremated remains will be spread with her late husband Felix.
