The month of July, once again, showed strong, stable sales with overall transactions being just ahead of last year. The number of Home Sales was the strongest on the West side, followed by the South side, and then the North. The same pattern was true when it came to listings, as there were the most in West Lethbridge, followed by South and then North Lethbridge.

One of the important numbers to watch is the “Absorption Rate”, as it measures the amount of homes that have sold versus the number of homes that were available for sale. It’s worth noting that the Absorption Rate for July was the best that it has been in all of 2019!

The outlook for the balance of the summer is very good, as Remax Lethbridge believes that the market will stay strong and steady and will continue to be a great opportunity for home buyers in all categories. It’s anticipated that there will be a launch of a “first time home buyers” program that will really be a boost for that segment of buyers, which will be great for the overall market.
