It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, father, and nephew WYLE “WILLY” LAITON MANY FINGERS. Willy passed away suddenly on Saturday September 3, 2016 on the Blood Reserve at the age of 26. He leaves to mourn two beautiful daughters Miika Laiton and Milli Rayne Many Fingers.
 
Willy was born on September 20, 1989 at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta. Willy attended pre-school at the Aahsaopi Elementary School moving onto St. Martha’s Elementary School in Lethbridge, Alberta eventually finishing his education at Kainai High School on the Blood Reserve. It was while he was in High School that he met the mother of his children Rhonda with whom he maintained a close friendship. Willy cherished his girls Miika and Milli, spending as much time with them as he could, they were his life and he loved them dearly. 
 
Willy will be remembered for his wild sense of humor, long entertaining stories, and acceptance of those around him. He touched many lives and made numerous friends along his journey. No one could say Willy was picky or snobbish as his circle of friends was vast and included people from many different walks of life. Among the many families left to cherish his memory are the Foxes, Many Fingers, Mills, Low Horns, Chief Moons, Soops, and Holy Singers.
 
Willy is survived by his two beautiful daughters Miika and Millie; His parents Sheila “Penny” Fox, father Danny Many Fingers, brother Casey, sisters Tera and Tomi; Maternal grandmother Phyllis Fox; Paternal grandfather Herbert Many Fingers; Uncles Snyder (Ann) Fox, Tiger (Kelly) Fox, Scott (Lenora) Many Fingers, Richard Many Fingers, Thomas (Rosaline) Holy Singer; Aunties Audrey (Roderick) White Quills, Jodie (Duane) Across the Mountain, Jolaine Many Fingers, Mary Anne Holy Singer, Geraldine (Laurie) Across the Mountain, Shirley (Barnabus) Prairie Chicken, Pansey (Wilfred) Yellow Wings; Great Uncles Pat (Rose) Fox, Wilfred Soop, Larry Fox, Burton (Verna) Many Fingers, Randy (Doreen) Mills, Edward Mills; Great Aunts Joyce First Rider, Adelaide “Dolly” Creighton, Rosaline Crow Shoe, Josie Russell, Evelyn (Andrew) Mills, Teresa(Erwin) Mills, Mildred Many Fingers, Rosanne Many Fingers, Marie (Don)Shade, Sylvia Tailfeathers, Clara Sigadore, Special Auntie/Mom Trina Shade; and numerous cousins and extended family too numerous to mention.
 

He was predeceased by his Maternal grandfather “Papa” Tom Holy Singer; Paternal grandmother Mary Rose Many Fingers; Aunts Bernadine Holy Singer, as well as numerous loved ones who have passed on.

A Candle Light Vigil will be held on Sunday, September 11th, 2016 at 5:00 P.M., for location and further details please contact a member of the family.

A Family Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 at 3:00 P.M.  

The Wake will be held at the MOSES LAKE GYM – Blood Reserve, AB. on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH – Blood Reserve, AB. on Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Pawel Andrasz O.M.I. celebrating.

Interment will be held at the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
