DONNA ELAINE MEED, beloved wife of Gary Meed, of Monarch, passed away suddenly at home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the age of 75 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Irene Cowley.
Donna was born on July 10, 1942 in Oshawa, Ontario. She was a healthy and active child growing up in a WW2 military environment, followed by frequent family moves which placed her in numerous school settings. She eventually settled in the Saskatoon area, participating in figure skating, softball and IOJD (Job’s Daughters). She relocated to southern Ontario where she was employed in various factory settings ranging from Kaiser-Roth (clothing) to Northern Electric (telephones) to Wellwyn Electronics (resistors for the Apollo Space Program).
Donna married Gary in 1970 in White Rock, BC, and her moves soon continued across the country once again, including, Ottawa, Edmonton, and finally the Lethbridge area, retiring in Monarch.
Her artistic talents flourished in her paintings, her needlework and her ceramics. She was also a Master 5-pin bowler and she loved to cook. During her active years, she often practiced Tai Chi. Her garden was always a thing of beauty and her three Maltese dogs were spoiled rotten! Donna loved camping and traveling far and near, and many trips produced fond memories.
