It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, LOUISE MOENCH (née Mottus) after a short battle with cancer, at Chinook Regional Hospital, on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at age of 71 years. She will always be remembered for the beautiful handmade sweaters that she has made numerous people through the years.

Mom is survived by her daughters: Kandice (of Buck Lake) and her children: Ashton, Alyssa (Brooke) and Zachary; and Krystal (of Lethbridge) and her children: Samantha, Andrew and Trevor; as well as her ex-son-in-law Quintin Steynen who she considered a son; her sister and brother-in-law Terri and Gerry Cunningham; sisters-in-law Diana Mottus, Penny Mottus and Shawna (Tom) Moore; brother-in-law Francis Weisenburger; and honourary brother Bob Spittial, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Doug Moench; son-in-law Jeremy Zimmerman; parents Art and Betty Mottus; in-laws Art and Martha Moench; brothers Jack and Tom Mottus; and sister-in-law Carol Weisenburger.

At Mom’s request, a small Graveside Service will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (albertacancer.ca) or charity of one’s choice.
