1929 – 2022

TILLIE B. O’DONNELL, beloved wife of the late John O’Donnell, passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa, on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the age of 93 years.

Tillie was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Rosa Hammel as well as her sisters, Phyllis, RoseMarie, Louisa, Lorraine and Angela. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Tillie was born August 9, 1929 in rural Saskatchewan and after finishing normal training, she taught in one room schools throughout southern Saskatchewan. She moved to Taber, Alberta to continue her career and later moved to Lethbridge, along with her husband. Tillie taught at St. Paul’s Elementary until her retirement. Although she had no children, Tillie treated each of her grade one students as if they were her own.

Tillie will always be remembered as a loving and compassionate wife, sister, friend and teacher.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Frank Peta officiating.

A private Family Graveside will be held.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Tillie, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 1202 – 2 Ave S, #40, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 0E3.
