On Tuesday, May 5th 2026, WILLETTA OUDMAN passed peacefully at home.

She left behind her greatest joys, her family and grandchildren. Her husband Andy and her three children: Chelsea (Jonathan) Kuperus, Kristin Oudman (Glenda Edie) and Jeffrey Oudman (Andrea Kobbert); grandchildren: Jesse, Isaiah, Connor, Brandon, Caleb (Kuperus), Parker, Harper (Edie) and Cohen (Oudman); as well as her sister Joanne (Henk) Van Roekel and numerous nieces and nephews.

Willetta was predeceased by her parents Weimtje and Gerard Van Esveld, brothers Henry and Ken Van Esveld, in-laws Homer and Betty Oudman and sister-in-law Marsha Oudman.

Willetta enjoyed training and showing her keeshonds in her teenage years. She graduated beautician school in 1976. She thoroughly enjoyed doing hair with her friends for many years. She married the love of her life Andy on Sept. 9, 1989. They lived in Taber, Alberta for many years, enjoying their children’s extracurricular activities, before moving south of Lethbridge. Willetta thrived helping with every aspect on the farm. She loved sports, hockey being her main delight, with years of helping organize Kristin’s and Jeff’s hockey adventures and meeting so many friends along the way. She loved spending time with her friends and family, particularly playing games with a loving competitive nature.

Willetta also enjoyed traveling with those friends and family; including multiple trips to Mexico with a sidenote of Hawaii, Cuba and Dominican Republic. Recently, Willetta and Andy enjoyed European river cruises with friends. She loved relaxing at the house in Whitefish as spending time with friends and family were her favourite ways to spend her days.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held at McNALLY COMMUNITY HALL, 210075 Twp Rd 82, Lethbridge, AB, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

A Private Graveside Service will take place prior to the Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bringing Hearts Home Campaign, c/o Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation (crhfoundation.ca/cardiaccare/)
