It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of GEORGINA “GINA” CATHERINE POULSEN (née Hamilton) on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Gina is survived by her brother, Dave (Carol) Hamilton; son David (Coleen) Kato; and daughter Pat (Mark) Sayers; as well as four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Jim Kato; second husband, Dr. Ernie Poulsen; and her parents, Percy and Betty Hamilton.

Fiercely independent, Gina passed on her own terms, in her sleep and in her own bed. Special thanks to all her caregivers: Dr. Ernie Janzen, Dr. Alan MacPherson, Linda, Amy and all those who made her last years comfortable.

At Gina’s request, no service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
