ALVINA AGNES RUSNAK passed away at Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the age of 83.

She was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 25, 1942 to parents Mike and Millie Pasula. She was the middle sibling to her older brother Eugene (predeceased) and her younger sister Frances (pre-deceased).

She married Larry Rusnak on October 7, 1961 (who predeceased her in March 2013) and they had two daughters. Alvina spent her entire career working for the Alberta Provincial Government in the Social Services Department. She started off as a secretary, eventually obtaining a Social Worker Degree (Athabasca University) and then finally becoming a supervisor. She retired in 1998 after 30 years of service.

Alvina loved crafting and gardening and was a long-time volunteer of 20 years at the Sherwood Park Food Bank, giving back to her community in need. She is survived by her daughter Donna (Cal) and her daughter Brenda, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In respect of her wishes no formal services will be held.
