While September came to a close with a crazy fall snow event, the local Real Estate Market continued to chug along. In fact, the number of sales transactions were up over 8% over last year’s September. Last month also saw the average sale price squeak up almost 5%, which is great news. The number of transactions (sales) were down slightly, however so was the number of listings.
The busiest price range for September was the $300k-$350k price range, with the $200k to $250k range coming in second, followed by the $250k-$300k. West Lethbridge was the busiest for sales, followed by the south side and the north side reporting the same amount of transactions.
For out of town areas it was Taber that showed the most sales in September, followed close behind by the town of Coaldale. The market conditions are playing out as we predicted, with a strong start to the fall/winter season. The strong, favourable buyers’ conditions continue for Lethbridge and surrounding area, and creates an amazing opportunity for Buyers to get in the market.
