It is with deepest sorrow that we announce our mother, ALICE LOUISE SIBBET, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the age of 78 years.  

Alice was born on October 12, 1939 in Nelson BC to Margherita and Russel Bishop.  She was the eldest of five children. On October 12, 1957, she married Robert “Bob” Sibbet and they moved to Edmonton where Bob was employed by the City of Edmonton. In the mid 1970’s, Alice and Bob managed the Silver Sage Motel in Bow Island for several years. They eventually settled in Lethbridge in 1987 where she resided until her passing.

Alice is survived by her children: Kathy (Kerry) Ditchburn, Gerri (Kevin) Greggains, Marge (Reuben) Wiebe, Robert (Lori) Sibbet, Sheryl (Ken) Friesen, and Scott (Laurine) Sibbet. 

 Alice is also survived by her sister Heather and grandchildren: Samuel, Kristen, Keith (Stacey), Kori (Brad), Sheldon (Ashly), Steven (Charlyn), Chelsea, David, Tara, Brandon, Ashley, Trystin, Tiana, Darcy (Raylene), Jason (Terra), Randy (Kaitlen), Kourtney (Graham), Kaitlin, and Justin, as well as her great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Joshua, Ember, Taveon, Rowan, Birkley, Seth, Kaia, Adrian, Aiden, Georgia, Jasper, Trinity, Dylan, Mackenzie, Kyla, Colby, Austin and Carter.

Alice was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Doreen and Betty, her brother Gerald, and her husband Bob.

 She was a great wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and will be sorely missed.

 A Celebration of Alice’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Julie Kissick officiating.
