April 21, 1953 – April 26, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of JEAN MARY SUURD on April 26, 2026, in Lethbridge, Alberta, just days after celebrating her 73^rd birthday.

Jean was a woman who found beauty in the handmade and joy in the hunt for a bargain. An expert at crocheting and knitting, she poured her care into every stitch. She was a familiar face at local yard sales and loved a good day of shopping, but she was perhaps most at home in her kitchen, where her cooking and baking brought the family together.

Jean is survived by her devoted husband Gerard Lidster and her daughter Bobbi-Jo. She was a cherished grandmother to Sean Suurd-Lidster, Adrian, and Matthew. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law Amanda Audenaert; her sister Anne and extended family members. Jean has gone to be reunited with her three sons Wade, Christopher, Jesse, and her nephew John; all who predeceased her.
