With great sadness, we announce the passing of Kimberly Lynn Wesley, beloved wife of Frank. God in his wisdom and timing called Kim to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
Kim was a devoted mother to Madisyn, Jackson and Trent. She is survived by her mother, Linda Brandvold, sister Kerry (Bruce) Taylor and brother Kevin (Christine) Brandvold, as well as a large and loving extended family and many cherished life-long friends.
Kim was born on May 21, 1973 in Edmonton, Alberta and came home to Lethbridge 28 days later with the loving family who chose her. Kim spent her early years in Lethbridge, creating life-long friendships with the families of Lakeside Road, and later making new forever friends after moving to the westside as a teen. Kim met Frank, the love of her life, in 1994 at a Save-On-Foods Christmas party. It was love at first sight. Kim and Frank were married on July 20, 1996. After building two homes, one in Coalhurst and one in Moonriver Estates, Kim and Frank moved back to Lethbridge when they were blessed with the news of the forthcoming birth of their daughter Madisyn Claire in 2005, followed closely by the birth of Jackson Frank in 2007 and Trent Jared in 2009. Kim worked at Save-On-Foods until Madisyn joined their family at which time she began the job she was destined for – motherhood.
Kim was an avid hiker, mountain biker and runner. She had a passion for the outdoors and never shied away from an adventure with family and friends. Kim, Frank and the kids spent countless hours camping, walking down rivers with fishing rods in hand and sitting around campfires. She was a dedicated supporter of her children’s passions. Whether at hockey arenas, golf courses, soccer fields or corral fences, Kim joyfully spent all her time cheering for her kids. Kim was Frank’s rock and always supported him as he followed his dreams and goals, enabling her to devote her life to her family. Her happiest moments were those spent with her family.
Kim committed her life to Christ in 2000. She and Frank were baptized together. This relationship with Christ was the foundation of their marriage and family life. This was carried into her everyday walk and was shared with her many friends and family. One of her greatest desires was that all would know Christ as their personal Saviour.
Kim’s warmth, smile and kindness impacted all she encountered, and people were drawn to her vibrant personality. She will be sadly missed but will forever be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Kim’s life will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at the University Drive Alliance Church (55 Columbia Blvd. W, Lethbridge, AB) with Pastor Scott Dixon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Alberta Treasury Branch in support of Kim’s children for an RESP Education Fund.
