SHIRLEY ANN WHITNEY passed away with her sons by her side on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the age of 80.

Shirley will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and devotion to her family.

She was predeceased by her son Kent Whitney; Murray Whitney, to whom she was previously married; her parents, Benedict and Anna Kambeitz; her sister Josephine Krokosh and brother-in-law Fred Krokosh; her brother Anthony Kambeitz; and sisters-in-law Eileen Kambeitz and Phyllis Kambeitz.

Shirley is survived by her sons Carlin Whitney (Lori) and Darren Whitney (Bonnie); Darren and Bonnie’s daughters Kate and Samantha; her brothers Len Kambeitz (Elvena) and George Kambeitz; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2825 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. Shirley will be laid to rest during a private Interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be made in Shirley’s memory.
