It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of ANDREW JAMES WILLAMSON, surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 38 years on Friday, September 22, 2023.
He was a happy, caring, and beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He tried to help everyone he came into contact with if he could.
He was predeceased by his brother Ryan Scott Urban; grandparents Betty and Cecil Urban, and Jack and Sybil Williamson; great-grandparents Jim and Helen Urban; favorite aunt Janette Ruth Olsen, and Jackie Sawa; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his mom and dad, Deena and Rory Williamson; sister Katarina (Kurtis); nephew Theo; niece Hayden; and his fur babies: Nemo, Kalut, and Django.
Andrew was a loving soul who tried to find the good in everyone and everything and made the best of what he had. He was a dedicated and hard worker at Kirchner Machines. He loved sports; his teams were the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Since his childhood, he loved 5
pin bowling and won numerous trophies and medals. He loved camping and spending time with family and friends.
His greatest love was his niece and nephew, he wanted to teach them so much and always worried about them. He loved to travel when he could. Mexico was a fond memory that Andy had, he always wanted to go back with his sister and loved all his camping trips.
The family would like to thank Lindsey for helping us get him home, Judy and Shelly and Tamara for all the care they gave him at home, Rodrigo and Laura and all other staff of 3B at the Chinook Regional Hospital, the nursing staff at St. Mike’s Palliative Care Unit during his brief stay there, staff and residents of Martha’s House for all your support and love, and the nurses at Jack Addy that helped and supported him during his treatments. We would also like to thank Dwayne Kirchner and all his co-workers at Kirchner Machines for their support and encouragement to Andy during his journey, and the close workers from CBI (there are too many to mention, but you know who you are). We would also like to thank our family and friends for the love and support they showed Andy, thank you all.
